Mark Flint出生在英國,他是一位Ashtanga的忠實習練者及傳播者。
他於1999年來到印度的Mysore,自此定居下來。
二十年前,Mark Flint被英國著名的醫生診斷為”嚴重類風濕性關節炎”,下半生極有可能需要長期服食類固醇藥及在輪椅上度過。他最後選擇放棄現代醫學治療,轉為自己鑽研食物療法及瑜珈練習。經過數年不斷的努力,身體終於好了!
最初他是練習艾楊格和哈達瑜珈,直至多年前有幸在印度Mysore 拜候已經過世的K。Pattabhi Jois — Ashtanga創始人並開始追隨練習,從此成為忠誠的Ashtanga練習者。
在教學方面,MarkFlint對包括體式、呼吸法和冥想的教導有深刻的理解。特別關注呼吸、Bandha和對學生的鼓勵。在語言上和身體上能針對每個學生作出指導。在課堂上傳遞著友好、輕鬆、平靜和鼓舞人心的激勵及充滿活力的氣氛。
Ashtanga近年來在歐美非常流行,特別是Mysore傳統風格訓練,但在中國有一些對Ashtanga的誤解,比如說這種練習很容易受傷或力度太強不適合中國人等等……但每年有成千上萬的瑜珈練習者從世界各地來Mysore的原因只有一個—練習Ashtanga 瑜珈。
Mark Flint老師希望透過這一次教授的機會,能令香港的同學們對Ashtanga瑜珈有更深入認識並能享受這個體系!

Mark Flint was born in England, he is a loyal Ashtanga practitioners and communicators.
He came to Mysore in India in 1999 and has been settled here.
Mark Flint 20 years ago by the British famous doctors diagnosed severe rheumatoid arthritis, are more likely to need a wheelchair the rest of his life and long-term service base steroid drugs. But he finally chose to give up their own research into modern medical treatment regimen plus yoga. After several years of continuous physical effort finally ready! At first he was practicing Iyengar and Hatha Yoga Mysore in India until years have already passed away Baihou K. Pattabhi Jois - Ashtanga founder and start practicing yoga teacher since his career has decided to become a loyal Ashtanga practitioners.
Mark Flint has a deep understanding include asanas, pranayama and meditation teachings teaching. Special attention to breathing, bandha and encouragement to students. Guidance and body language and for each student. In the classroom convey a friendly, relaxed, calm and inspire inspiring and vibrant atmosphere.
Ashtanga is very popular in recent years, especially in Europe and Mysore traditional training, but in China there are some misconceptions about Ashtanga, for example, it is easy to be injured or intensity of exercise too is not suitable for Chinese people, and so on ...... but there are thousands every year Yoga practitioners from around the world is only one reason Mysore Ashtanga yoga practice.
Mark hope make in this first opportunity to teach Hong Kong students to have a deeper understanding of Ashtanga Yoga and enjoy this system!

This workshop is specifically aimed at people new to ashtanga and beginners where we introduce them to bandha, dhristi and ujayi breath.
Each day we will go through the series of asanas, starting surya namaskar, standing postures, vinyasa, sitting upto navasana then finishing series.
The workshop is for people new to ashtanga so they do not have to enrol for private classes to learn the correct way of doing the primary series, by the end of the 3 days they can join a regular mysore or led practice being taught in HK with confidence...

Time:
This section provides an introduction for students with different levels of experience to participate. 
The teacher will lead you to explore the foundation of traditional  Ashtanga yoga. 
Practice Ujayi  Breathing (Breath), energy locks (Bandhas), gaze point (Drishti), postures (Asana)  transition (Vinyasa),  Suryanamaskar,  Hip and shoulder opening and safe backbends

Day 1 :
Morning: Ashtanga led practice 1.5 hours 
Aft/ Eve : Workshop 2 hours. 
Breath, Bandha, Dhristh, Suryanamaskar.

Day 2:
Morning: Ashtanga led practice 1.5 hours 
Aft/ Eve : Workshop 2 hours
Hip and shoulder opening.

Day 3:
Morning: Ashtanga led practice 1.5 hours 
Aft/ Eve : Workshop 2 hours
Backbending. Headstands.
